Rabaji Pahlavi, 23, from Bangalore, is a social activist, member of the Indian National Congress and also has a criminal record. He was arrested for attempting to kidnap 11 people and run people around by his own hand last year.

In 2002, he was arrested in Chhattisgarh, Punjab, after the police nabbed him of kidnapping eight women and raping them and taking them to the police station.

"The alleged abductor was arrested in the area but we have to wait and see if anyone is able to find him," said the police at the time.

The attack on Pahlavi was carried out by a man known as "Rabaji," who was on bail and was arrested.

His lawyer said on Wednesday that the attack appeared to be one of the worst attacks which have ever happened in the village.

The attack took place just a few km from the old community centre, where the family of the kidnapped women were staying.

After the attack incident, several people managed to escape from the village before the attack took place.

At one point, a woman with a large child ran out of the village, claiming that her children were being treated for the trauma being caused by the attack.
