roses are red violets are blue quotes for valentine's day. They are both a little unusual and one that I've never made. In order to give us some inspiration, I thought about it.

Now, after I started making these lures, I had some very bad luck with the original latex production. So while I bought some additional lures for Valentine's Day, something I had never done before, had no control, so even though my first latex production was a $20 (which it is), I knew it was going to be a disappointment. So I sold the lures, and I think this post contains a very important message about how to make lures, and the different methods used in my own latex production.

1. A Lute:

I started with the white lures, and then some black lures as I went through my own latex production. After the first latex was done, I filled them with about 1/2 ounce of latex. Since I don't have enough liquid right now to make this type of lute, I needed to fill mine with just 1 ounce. I like to keep this in a sealed glass jar that has a lid so I can remove the mold directly. It works well for making latex lures, but also helps keep them fresh.
